Peeled and dried mango strips

Our dried mangoes have a special story. They come from Burkina Faso, where our origin project not only produces delicious mango strips, but also improves the lives of local people. From harvesting to social responsibility - discover how enjoyment and sustainability go together.

Mango growing areas in Africa: Our project in Burkina Faso

The mango is one of the most popular fruits in the world. Before our Farmer's Snack mango in strips reaches you, the fruit is harvested by hand. The employees then wash, peel and cut the mangoes into strips on site. They are then gently dried to preserve their natural taste and nutrients.

How are mangoes dried?

In Burkina Faso, we rely on the gentle drying of our mangoes in the oven. This method enables us to dry the mango strips evenly at controlled temperatures. By regularly monitoring the process, our employees ensure that the mangoes are optimally dried without losing their natural aromas and nutrients. Compared to conventional drying methods, oven drying ensures that the quality of the fruit remains consistently high and the intense flavor is preserved. Thanks to improved processing standards, we guarantee the highest quality - in a sustainable and modern way.

Our social commitment in Burkina Faso

Our project in Burkina Faso not only aims to grow high-quality mangoes, but also to sustainably improve the lives of local people. We mainly employ women, who are largely responsible for harvesting and processing the mangoes. It is important to us to strengthen their financial independence, which is why we pay wages directly to them. They also have access to their own bank accounts, which opens up new financial opportunities for them, such as taking out loans for their children's education.

To promote work-life balance, the local team is working on opening a company kindergarten. Employees already benefit from a free canteen that offers healthy meals. We also attach great importance to further training: once a month, we offer training courses for all employees to strengthen their professional skills. We also focus on preventive healthcare: we are planning to set up a company doctor who will offer regular check-ups and free vaccinations.

Our commitment in Burkina Faso extends beyond the cultivation of mangoes. Through the additional production of our coconut chips, the improvement of production processes and the training of specialist staff, we are creating long-term, year-round jobs. This not only contributes to economic stability, but also ensures that our products are of the highest quality.

With your purchase of our Farmer's Snack Mango and Coconut Chips, you directly support these initiatives and help to strengthen independence.
