Crispy, nutty and simply irresistible: these sweet hazelnut nests with Farmer's Snack hazelnuts are a real eye-catcher - and taste at least as good as they look! Whether as a small gift, for afternoon coffee or as a lovely treat for Easter: the combination of shortcrust pastry, fine nougat filling and crunchy hazelnuts ensures pure moments of indulgence.

Ingredients

For the dough:
130 g Farmer's Snack roasted hazelnuts
200g Farmer's Snack dates
120g peanut butter
3 tbsp cocoa powder
1 pinch of salt

For the topping:
70 g Farmer's Snack roasted hazelnuts, chopped
3 tbsp peanut butter
100 g dark chocolate

Preparation

  1. For the nest dough, put all the ingredients in a food processor and chop until you have a creamy, sticky mixture. If necessary, add a few spoonfuls of water until everything is well combined.
  2. Form 12 balls and roll them through the chopped hazelnuts.
  3. Place all the balls on baking paper (or in cupcake tins) and press a small indentation into the center of the balls to create a nest shape. Shape with your fingers if necessary.
  4. Now fill the hollow with a little peanut butter, seal the whole thing with a blob of chocolate and put the nests in the fridge. Done!
