Crispy, nutty and simply irresistible: these sweet hazelnut nests with Farmer's Snack hazelnuts are a real eye-catcher - and taste at least as good as they look! Whether as a small gift, for afternoon coffee or as a lovely treat for Easter: the combination of shortcrust pastry, fine nougat filling and crunchy hazelnuts ensures pure moments of indulgence.
Ingredients
For the dough:
130 g Farmer's Snack roasted hazelnuts
200g Farmer's Snack dates
120g peanut butter
3 tbsp cocoa powder
1 pinch of salt
For the topping:
70 g Farmer's Snack roasted hazelnuts, chopped
3 tbsp peanut butter
100 g dark chocolate
Preparation
- For the nest dough, put all the ingredients in a food processor and chop until you have a creamy, sticky mixture. If necessary, add a few spoonfuls of water until everything is well combined.
- Form 12 balls and roll them through the chopped hazelnuts.
- Place all the balls on baking paper (or in cupcake tins) and press a small indentation into the center of the balls to create a nest shape. Shape with your fingers if necessary.
- Now fill the hollow with a little peanut butter, seal the whole thing with a blob of chocolate and put the nests in the fridge. Done!
